A veterinary hospital in New Hyde Park on the Queens/Nassau border in Long Island seeks a full-time assistant. This is an exceptional opportunity to learn and work with great dedicated staff.
Assistants must be able to work weekdays and one weekend day, starting as early as 8am, and some evenings until 9pm.
They must enjoy working with people, love animals and be passionate about their welfare.
1. MUST be comfortable handling animals. You will be assisting doctors in the rooms with appointments.
2. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs +
3. Be able to follow direction with cleaning, stocking,laundry,wrapping surgical packs, and daily hospital maintenance,
4. Must be a team player.
5.Must have ability to remain composed in stressful and emergency situations.
6. Must neatly and correctly fill out paperwork as necessary.
7. Must be available to work 1 weekend day!
8. MUST BE COVID-19 VACCINATED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
