We are seeking compassionate and experienced caregivers to support a young adult living with quadriplegia. This is a long-term, life-span case with consistent hours and a supportive family environment.
The client sustained a spinal cord injury in 2023 after a tragic accident but has continued to pursue personal goals and achieve remarkable milestones. Despite requiring full assistance with activities of daily living, the client is motivated, accomplished, and an inspiration to work with.
Daily Care Responsibilities
Transfers & Mobility:
- Client is bed-bound and requires use of an automatic Hoyer lift for all transfers (training provided).
- All transfers are mechanical; no heavy manual lifting required.
Toileting:
- Client has a suprapubic catheter. Caregivers are responsible only for emptying the bag.
- If there are issues with the catheter, caregiver must notify the office immediately so home health can be contacted.
- Bowel program is performed every other day by family. Caregivers assist with cleanup as needed.
Bathing & Grooming:
- Showers are completed using a shower bench. Bathroom is handicap accessible, but compact.
- Caregiver assists with bathing, dressing, oral care, and grooming as needed.
Meals:
- Client has no dietary restrictions. Caregiver assists with meal setup and feeding support as needed.
Medications:
- Medications are managed by family. Caregiver may assist with reminders and organization if requested.
Shifts Available
