Production Line Lead– Manufacturing | Walton, KY

Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Line Lead (Captain) to help lead production operations and ensure the manufacturing line runs safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
The Line Lead (Captain) will assist with directing line workers, monitoring production, completing paperwork, and helping ensure the line is properly set up and operating smoothly.
Pay & Training
- $18.00/hr starting pay
- Increase to $19.00/hr after successfully completing training, typically within 6–8 weeks
- Increase to $19.50/hr after being hired on full-time
- Comprehensive training provided with a structured training program
- Training includes learning production paperwork, BOP/BOL documentation, line procedures, and quality requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist production line workers
- Delegate work and provide support when needed
- Help ensure the production line is properly set up and ready
- Monitor production and identify component or process issues
- Perform quality checks and accurately record production data
- Complete production paperwork accurately
- Perform line clearance after production runs
- Follow all safety procedures, GMP standards, and work instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist on the production line as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of manufacturing experience required
- 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate instructions effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable following written procedures and work instructions
- Reliable and safety-conscious
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift 5–20 lbs
- Occasionally lift 30–50 lbs
- Ability to reach and lift overhead
- Ability to crouch and lift from floor level
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for up to 95% of the workday
- Work in temperatures ranging from approximately 50°F–85°F
- Production areas may become hot during the summer months
PPE Requirements
Required protective equipment includes:
- Chemical-resistant glasses/goggles
- Gloves
- Apron and sleeves
- Smock
- Shoe covers
- Dust mask
