American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring Impella and CRRT/NxStage experience, Epic proficiency, and night shift availability.

Hospital ICU setting with potential float to other ICUs, ED, or PACU to care for ICU-level patients, and occasional float to MS/PCU units
-
Standard patient ratio is 1:2, which may flex to 1:3 in the ICU, and 1:4 when floating to MS/PCU
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
-
4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating is required to all ICUs and may include the ED or PACU; occasional float to MS/PCU
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Station, and Veratron Bladder Scanner

Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Hands-on experience with Impella is required

Hands-on experience with CRRT/NxStage is required

Epic EMR experience required

Must know personal N95 mask size prior to start

A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration

A copy of a valid Driver's License is required for consideration

Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and line starts
-
CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for a $100 fee
-
All nurses are expected to care for isolation patients, including potential COVID-19 cases
-
RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
-
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Any former permanent employee of an LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for this position
