Wolf Contractors Inc. has been a top site contractor in the Hampton Roads area for over 41 years and has completed over 1,000 civil construction projects in the Tidewater area. Wolf Contractors is seeking a motivated individual for a full time Project Manager position to join our team in Newport News, VA. Candidates must be an expert in the underground utility and sitework industry.
As a Project Manager at Wolf Contractors Inc, you'll use your skills to manage sitework projects throughout the Hampton Roads. You will also assist the lead estimator with bidding projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Review plans and specifications to thoroughly understand the scope of a project.
- Attend on site meetings and daily site visits.
- Create schedules, budgets, change order proposals, process submittals, RFIs, and other typical construction administrative items.
- Manage crews and subcontractors on various projects.
Qualifications:
- Expert in reading and comprehending blueprints and other construction documents.
- Expert in the sitework and underground utility industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer and software skills preferably in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam or Adobe.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Experience with 3D grade control is not required, but is a plus.
- Experience with Agtek and Insite is not required, but is a plus.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in site development, underground utilities, or road building.
