POSITION TITLE: Part-Time Early Childhood Classroom Support Staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Ability to independently supervise and support up to 12 preschool-aged children (ages 3–5) as needed

Lead Teacher and Building Principal
POSITION PURPOSE
To support classroom staff in providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of preschool students.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday–Friday
- 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- 10-month position with optional summer employment opportunities
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in creating and maintaining a classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
- Support students in meeting classroom expectations and following established routines using developmentally appropriate practices.
- Supervise and assist students while teachers provide small-group and individualized instruction.
- Engage students in purposeful indoor and outdoor play experiences while maintaining a safe environment.
- Assist with meal service and clean-up, including sanitizing tables, preparing and distributing food, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Supervise and support students during rest time routines.
- Demonstrate respect and responsiveness to the diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds of students and families.
- Communicate with families as directed by classroom staff and administration.
- Participate in required professional learning, staff meetings, and district trainings.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Building Principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a part-time position with placement on the Teacher Assistant/Classroom Support Staff salary schedule. Benefits include health insurance and paid sick and personal leave in accordance with district policy.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board policies and district procedures governing classified personnel.
Pay: $11.75 - $13.00 per hour
