We are looking for a part-time Marketing & Vendor Relations Coordinator to help manage our weekly promotions, customer communications, social media, website banners, vendor pop-ups, and cannabis marketplace updates.
This is a local/hybrid role based in Parkville, Maryland. The right person should be creative, organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a highly regulated cannabis environment. This role is not just posting on Instagram. We need someone who can help keep our weekly deals, vendor events, digital menu platforms, and customer messaging consistent and professional.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and schedule weekly promotional text and email campaigns through Alpine IQ
- Create social media content for Instagram and Facebook, including posts, stories, event reminders, and compliant promotional graphics
- Design website pop-up banners and simple promotional graphics using Canva or similar tools
- Update Leafly and Weedmaps weekly with current deals, store promotions, vendor events, and approved advertising content
- Help coordinate vendor pop-ups, including scheduling, confirming details, gathering vendor assets, promoting the event, and helping organize event materials
- Work with management to build a weekly marketing calendar for deals, vendor days, holidays, loyalty offers, and special events
- Take or collect basic in-store content such as product displays, vendor pop-ups, staff/store photos, and short videos when appropriate
- Maintain organized folders for marketing assets, approved promotions, vendor materials, and weekly campaign records
- Make sure all marketing materials are reviewed and approved before posting or sending
- Follow Maryland cannabis advertising guidelines and Treehouse internal compliance standards
Ideal candidate:
- Has experience with social media, retail marketing, event marketing, cannabis marketing, or local business marketing
- Is comfortable using Canva, Instagram, Facebook, email/text marketing platforms, and basic website/banner tools
- Can write clear, short, customer-friendly promotional copy
- Is organized enough to manage a weekly calendar and multiple vendor/promotional deadlines
- Understands that cannabis marketing must be compliant, professional, and age-appropriate
- Can come onsite in Parkville at least 1–2 times per week
- Can occasionally attend vendor pop-ups, special events, or promotional days
- Has good communication skills and can work directly with management, vendors, and store staff
- Cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required. Retail, restaurant, nightlife, beauty, fitness, event, or local business marketing experience can also be a strong fit.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to work in or around a licensed cannabis dispensary environment
- Must be willing to complete any required cannabis agent registration, background, or Responsible Vendor Training requirements
- Must be local to the Baltimore/Parkville area and able to come onsite weekly
- Must be able to provide examples of prior marketing, social media, design, or event work
Schedule:
- Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week to start. Opportunity for expanded hours as the role grows
- Hybrid schedule with weekly onsite time in Parkville, MD
- Some flexibility required for vendor pop-ups, holidays, and special promotion weekends
