The Radiologic Technologist provides a critical service to our communities, allowing us to identify problems within the patient’s body without needing to wait in an emergency department waiting room. When not performing X-Rays the Radiologic Technologist, will contribute to the center's success as a Medical Assistant, executing key duties and leveraging patient care skills to support daily operations.
Per - Diem Schedule: (3) 12 hour shifts per month!

A typical day in the life of a Radiologist Technologist, includes:
- Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
- Prepares patient for radiological procedures.
- Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
- Running and resulting in house point of care testing (strep, mono, flu, COVID, Urine Analysis, etc)
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart
- Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Take patient histories and vital signs
- Prepare patient for examination and treatment
- POC testing to include glucose testing
- Perform wound care, ear lavage and administration of medication

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree

Current state ARRT license, required.

Experience in urgent care/emergency room settings preferred
