Simply Elegant catering is seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook & Offsite catering Cook to join our culinary team.
We are an award winning catering company based out of Groveland, MA. We operate out of a full sized commercial kitchen. All of our catering jobs / events are off site.
We strive to provide high quality food & experience for our clients. Work with an experienced staff.
The Prep Cook will assist in
- food preparation
- maintain cleanliness
- support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Alongside prep, you will also be going off site to catering jobs.
Our off site catering jobs range from residential houses to wedding venues.
**MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE**
Candidates must have at least 2+ years of catering experience.
Paid Vacation Time is available based on longevity.
ServSafe Certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and meats.
- Assist in menu planning and ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Support the cooking staff by preparing meals in accordance with established guidelines.
- Organize and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal preparation for service.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Participate in catering events and assisting with meal setup and service for catering event.
Experience
- Previous experience in catering is preferred.
- Background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Culinary experience with strong knife skills is essential for efficient meal preparation.
- Experience working in a kitchen environment is beneficial.
- Must have Valid Driver License & ability to drive larger vehicles. .

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
