Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process linens, uniforms, and other textiles efficiently.
- Perform laundry services including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing textiles with precision and care.
- Handle materials safely using push carts and manual handling techniques to transport laundry loads throughout the facility.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, equipment, and laundry stations regularly to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as loading and unloading heavy items while following safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to laundry requests and ensuring timely delivery of clean textiles.
- Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to safety protocols related to chemical use (laundry detergents), equipment operation, and textile handling.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, laundry operations, or textile care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and pushing carts with laundry loads.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting textiles, and managing inventory.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safety standards in production environments.
- Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial washers/dryers or dry cleaning equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during laundry processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward assisting team members and guests alike.
