The Department of Urology is seeking a full-time academic faculty member to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing growth of a comprehensive Transitional Urology Program. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the department’s approach to transitional care and advancing research in pediatric and adolescent-to-adult urologic health.
Transitional Urology Program Leadership
- Partner with the Section of Pediatric Urology to build a sustainable Transitional Urology Program focused on patients with congenital or pediatric-onset urologic conditions transitioning to adult care.
- Lead strategic planning, program development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to expand services, education, and outreach.
- Develop educational materials and provide teaching for residents and fellows on best practices in transitional care.
- Promote innovative models of care delivery, patient education, and long-term follow-up across the lifespan.
Research and Grant Development
- Advance the department’s research portfolio through independent and collaborative scholarship.
- Design and conduct studies focused on transitional care outcomes, health services delivery, or other relevant areas.
- Mentor junior faculty, trainees, and research staff in study design, manuscript development, and grant writing.
- Support and lead departmental initiatives to secure external funding from NIH, foundations, or other sources.
