Basketball Coach
Are you into basketball? We are hiring positive, upbeat, outgoing and energetic individuals to coach Point Steep Youth Sports & Fitness basketball training sessions in Parkland, FL! If you have a passion for basketball and enjoy engaging with kids and parents, then this is right for you.
Responsibilities:
- Teach kids ages 5-17 basketball skills and drills
- Respond to parents that have questions or concerns about their kid's training
- Commute to Parkland to coach as needed
- Set up and pack training equipment
Qualifications:
- Currently reside in South Florida
- Current or recent experience as a basketball player required
- 1 year experience working with kids ages 5-17 a plus, but not required
- Experience coaching basketball a plus, but not required as training and curriculum is provided
- Interact with kids and parents in a naturally friendly, encouraging, positive, upbeat, outgoing, energetic and professional way
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Pass a criminal background check
- Fast with replies to WhatsApp messages, texts, calls and emails
- Ability to work well with others
- Reliable transportation
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate
Pay is $25 per hour plus Bonus Pay. Bonus Pay includes a Roster Bonus for training larger groups plus a Retention Bonus when a kid registers for a subsequent 6-8 week session.
