Full-Time Infant Teacher
We are seeking a caring and energetic Infant Teacher to join our growing preschool team! This role is perfect for someone with early childhood experience who enjoys engaging with young children in a warm and structured environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, creative, and skilled in managing an infant classroom.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
*This is a permanent, long-term position. Please do not apply if you are looking for a temporary/Summer position.*
Responsibilities and Duties
- Foster a nurturing and engaging environment for children ages 0–18 months
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones across cognitive, motor, language, and social-emotional domains
- Follow the daily classroom schedule including morning arrival, tummy time, sensory activities, bottle/meal feedings, diaper changes, nap/rest routines, and afternoon enrichment
- Track and maintain daily logs for each child (feedings, diaper changes, naps, milestones) through Brightwheel
- Engage with children through play, music, story time, and structured learning experiences throughout the full day
- Assist with all transitions including arrival, rest time, snack/mealtimes, and dismissal
- Encourage positive interactions and model appropriate behaviors
- Maintain open and professional communication with parents/guardians during drop-off and pickup
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment at all times
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper supervision ratios, hygiene, sanitation, and safe sleep practices
- Perform routine classroom upkeep including sanitizing toys, surfaces, cribs, and high chairs
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, floaters, and administrators to maintain a consistent and high-quality learning atmosphere
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required
Infant Teacher Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 1+ year prior experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Ability to effectively engage and supervise young children in an afternoon classroom setting.
- Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- CPR & First Aid and Food Safety Certifications (Preferred)
