Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology, including Fanuc controls, and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to precision will help drive our manufacturing excellence forward.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery, including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for complex parts.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to produce accurate components.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues using basic math, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling adjustments to meet production requirements while adhering to quality standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools for assembly or finishing processes as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection results, and quality control records in compliance with lean manufacturing principles.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes or milling machines with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong background in CNC programming using CAM software; experience with SolidWorks or CAD is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and bore gauges accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Experience working within manufacturing environments that emphasize lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to operate forklifts and power tools safely; welding experience is a plus. Join us if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your technical expertise in a collaborative environment!
