Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttle buses, or personal vehicles to transport clients on scheduled routes or as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including traffic laws and safety standards.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal operation and safety.
- Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions.
- Communicate professionally with clients, care coordinators, and dispatchers to confirm schedules and address any concerns.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while adhering to proper manual handling techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for larger passenger vehicles).
- Experience operating passenger vans or medical transportation vehicles is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Familiarity with state transportation regulations and safety protocols related to passenger vehicle operation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and lift heavy objects when required.
- Strong driving record demonstrating adherence to traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
- Reliable communication skills for client interaction and coordination with team members.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
