Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems, and seat guests promptly.
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages quickly and accurately to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including resetting tables and ensuring all stations are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Support host/hostess responsibilities by managing waitlists, coordinating seating arrangements, and managing reservations through POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations, providing guest services that exceed expectations and foster positive guest relations.
Skills
- Experience in restaurant reservation management and familiarity with restaurant table management systems.
- Previous host/hostess or food service experience preferred, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, orders, and transactions accurately.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Ability to handle phone communication professionally while maintaining a friendly demeanor in all guest interactions.
