Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Behavioral Science Team. This position provides behavioral science expertise in support of insider threat, personnel security, counterintelligence, and organizational resilience initiatives.
The successful candidate will work alongside government personnel and mission partners to provide psychological consultation, conduct assessments, develop training programs, perform research, and support national security initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral science consultation to government stakeholders regarding insider threat, personnel security, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct direct and indirect psychological assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive psychological reports and consultation summaries.
- Support personnel security, threat management, and organizational consultation activities.
- Deliver behavioral science training, presentations, and educational briefings.
- Develop white papers, literature reviews, executive summaries, and research reports.
- Participate in behavioral science research and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with intelligence, law enforcement, military, and counterintelligence professionals.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and workload tracking.
- Support program management documentation and other contract deliverables.
- Travel occasionally as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice Clinical Psychology within the United States or its territories.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as one or more of the following:
Operational Psychologist
National Security Psychologist
Forensic Psychologist
Personnel Psychologist
Police Psychologist
Military Psychologist
Corrections Psychologist
Experience supporting behavioral science activities related to:
Counterintelligence
Law enforcement
Insider threat
Personnel security
Violence and suicide risk assessment
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and interpreting psychological testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Security Clearance Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance.
- Eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- Ability to obtain and successfully complete an NGA Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph, if required.
- Ability to satisfy all NGA security requirements.
Work Environment
- Full-time position supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
- Primary work location is Springfield, Virginia.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Telework may be available with Government approval.
- Collaborative, mission-focused environment supporting U.S. national security
Pay: $103,798.33 - $125,004.44 per year
