CNC Lathe Operator
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) 2nd Shift (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Pay: Open- ended depending on experience
About the Role
We're looking for a CNC Lathe Operator to join our team. Whether you're an experienced machinist or someone eager to break into the trade, we want to hear from you. Candidates with a few years of CNC lathe setup experience are ideal, but we're willing to train the right person who shows strong mechanical aptitude and a good work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and job travelers
- Load raw materials and select appropriate tooling
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Accurately document production and quality data
Qualifications:
- Prior CNC lathe setup/operation experience preferred (a few years is ideal)
- Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply — we will train
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
