Grampie’s Pizzeria is looking for a dependable, friendly Takeout Cashier to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for helping customers, answering phones, taking takeout and dine-in orders, and making sure each customer has a great experience from the time they order until they receive their food.
When not assisting customers or taking orders, this position will also help with food prep, making salads and other menu items, stocking, cleaning, dishes, and other daily restaurant duties.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Answer incoming phone calls and take takeout orders accurately
- Take in-person dine-in and takeout orders
- Operate the register and process customer payments
- Learn our menu and confidently describe menu items, ingredients, and options
- Answer customer questions and help guide customers through the ordering process
- Check and organize takeout orders to help ensure accuracy
- Prepare salads and other designated menu items
- Assist with ingredient prep, portioning, and stocking as needed
- Restock front-of-house and takeout supplies
- Wash dishes and keep work areas clean and organized
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Help with additional restaurant duties when not assisting customers
- Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly
Qualifications:
- Friendly and comfortable talking with customers both in person and over the phone
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Able to learn and confidently explain our menu
- Comfortable handling money and operating a register
- Previous cashier, server/waitress, drive-thru, takeout, or other customer service experience is helpful but not required
- Food service experience is helpful but not required
- Able to work independently and stay productive during slower periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Schedule:
Part-time with the opportunity for additional hours as business grows. Weekday and weekend availability may be required.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
