Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will keep our day-to-day financial operations running smoothly by providing accurate, timely accounting services. This is a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation for your accounting career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable: Process A/P invoices timely, communicate professionally with vendors, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Handle Weekly Payments: Prepare the weekly payment run of checks, ACHs, and wire transfers.
- Balance the Books: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, investigate differences, and research/reconcile other assigned General Ledger (GL) accounts.
- Track Expenses & Assets: Review and process employee expense reports. Identify and properly record fixed assets and prepaids.
- Own General Ledger Tasks: Prepare and record journal entries in QuickBooks.
- Streamline Operations: Follow Bright Pattern policies and procedures, suggesting process improvements as you find them.
- Support Audits & Special Projects: Assist with auditor requests, support the CEO and Finance team, and handle other projects and tasks as needed.
- Maintain Integrity: Always handle sensitive financial information in a strictly confidential manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Software Experience: Practical, hands-on experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Education: An AA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Accounting Knowledge: A solid, fundamental understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, including proficiency with formulas, data organization, pivot tables and more.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, clear communication, and a collaborative "team-player" attitude.

Pay: $57,416.89 - $69,147.23 per year
