Job Description:
Caregivers Inn is seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. As a Cook in our Assisted Living Facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious, delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that all meals are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature.
- Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and storing food supplies.
- Monitor food quality and freshness, making adjustments as necessary.
- Participate in food service training and ongoing education to stay current with culinary trends and dietary requirements.
- Foster a positive dining atmosphere by engaging with residents and accommodating their individual preferences.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or senior living setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines for senior residents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents and staff.
