Our client is currently seeking or in need of a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator for a full-time opportunity in Burbank, California. This position is ideal for a highly experienced machining professional who can program, set up, operate, and support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Day-to-Day:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, including Haas machines
- Perform tooling setup and prepare machines for production runs
- Read, interpret, and work with G-code
- Use Fanuc-based or related programming software
- Modify and update existing programs and tooling as needed
- Produce and verify first article inspections to ensure critical tolerances are met
- Monitor machine operation to maintain part accuracy and production quality
- Apply proper speeds and feeds based on material type and machining requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Calculate dimensions and use math skills to support accurate machining
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other standard measuring tools
- Set up machine fixtures and tooling for other CNC operators in the department
- Perform quick inspections of critical dimensions during production runs
- Schedule and support daily and weekly maintenance for machines, fixtures, and tooling
- Help maintain both new and existing equipment to ensure smooth operation
- Communicate effectively with team members and support overall department productivity
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience
- Strong experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation
- Familiarity with Haas mills and Fanuc-based programming preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and maintain tight tolerances
- Experience using precision inspection equipment
- Leadership experience is a plus
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and a dependable work ethic
Pay Rate:
- $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
