Job Title: CNC Machinist
Production facility: Odessa, TX
Main Objective of Job:
Produces machined API Threads, Semi Premium Threads and Premium Threads for Pins and Couplings. by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Preferred experience with Okuma Machines, EMAG Machines, Mori Seiki, also to be experienced with Fanuc or Siemens Controls.
Education/ Qualification:
High school or technical School education with 1 year experience.
Duties, Responsibilities5 & Key tasks:
- Operation and set-up CNC Machine - Okuma LOC650 and Mazak M
- Operation and saw set-up, swage
- Manufacture product to API specification, company operating procedures or prints or in conformance to Customer requirements as transmitted on a work router;
- Provide the best possible output of machining to ensure the highest product quality as product Quality is dependent on the machine operator;
- Ensuring proper accountability of products sent in for repair or conversion;
- Ensuring proper product identification & traceability throughout the process;
- Ensure preservation of customer and company products;
- Informing the direct supervisor or Quality person of any product non-conforming situations;
- Maintaining daily maintenance of machinery;
- Maintaining daily or hourly counts of product manufactured
Essential functions:
This position is exposed to the following work environment factors and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Stand for extended periods of time, kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, crawl, climb stairs, heavy lifting. Load, unload connections, handling equipment and accessories. Use hands to handle, grasp, hold equipment
- Be able occasionally physically carry up to 100 lbs.
- Be able to work in hot, cold, snow, rain work environment
