At the Children’s Center at Groton, we are looking for educators who are passionate about nurturing the whole child through play-based, emergent curriculum. We consider ourselves a school, not a daycare, and as such, teachers are treated as professionals, not babysitters. Our Reggio-inspired school takes a child-centered approach to learning and has a strong focus on social-emotional development.
We are currently seeking a full-time teacher to work with Pre-K children EEC teacher certification required.
Children remain in the same classroom for the full academic year (Sept.-Aug) and move together to the next age group. At our school, you will not experience students coming and going from your classroom throughout the year.
We are not a traditional school. We value what each child has to offer and we look to turn their interests into hands-on experiences in the classroom. Our days are filled with wonder and joy – and probably a dance party or two.
