We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic, pet loving team. Experience with pets and animals is a plus! In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all human and animal customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions accurately.
- Maintain store cleanliness
- Process weekly deliveries
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure an appealing shopping environment.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively communicate with customers.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve sales performance.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Retail experience is a must, with pet experience being a plus!
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and enhance customer satisfaction.
