FT with Alternate Weekends
Job Summary:
Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an organized Nursing Scheduler to join our team in York, Pennsylvania. As a vital member of our care team, the scheduler generates, manages and updates master schedules while making adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-ins, and pre-planned leaves of absence.
Nursing Scheduler Responsibilities:
Reviewing requests for paid time off (PTO), vacation, maternity leave, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and unpaid leaves of absence
Fulfilling staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
Keeping meticulous attendance records and assisting with the progressive disciplinary process if staff members accrue excessive absences and/or tardiest
Communicating with unit managers and the director of nursing / assistant direct of nursing regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department
Checking time clock punch records in payroll against master schedules and noting the appropriate changes
About the Role:
As a Nursing Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing and rehabilitation services. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.
Nursing Scheduler Qualifications:
Prior experience in nursing or a related field; experience in scheduling or coordination preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
