MK Services is looking for a 2nd Shift CMM Operator!
We offer a flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, including a paid 30-minute lunch and paid breaks. Who wouldn't want a 3-day weekend & Paid Weekly!
The CMM Operator is responsible for operating the CMM machine, analyzing CMM reports, verifying CMM data with alternate mechanical inspection techniques, and completing inspection reports while ensuring all parts meet quality standards required in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Job Requirement

Operating CMM: Open programs and follow instructions on how to fixture and align CNC machined parts within the CMM. May troubleshoot the CMM program and equipment as required.

Analyze and verify CMM reports: Use knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and mechanical inspection techniques to verify data collected with the CMM.

Collaboration: Work closely with CAM programming, Quality Inspectors, and Machinists to convey information in CMM reports.

Quality Assurance: Perform inspection and testing to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Complete inspection reports on products manufactured in the facility or purchased products.

Inspection Criteria: Review blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices.

Inspection Criteria 2: Perform mechanical and visual inspections as needed.

Documentation: Write detailed inspection plans, including CMM fixture setup.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO, AS9100, and GD&T.

Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Experience: 2 - 5 years of related experience in CMM operation.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Zeiss Calypso software, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and quality inspection processes.

Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
