The Marketing Coordinator position reports to our Chief Marketing Officer.
Overview of Responsibilities:
· Coordinates with Chief Marketing Officer on projects relating to the marketing plan.
· Coordinate digital marketing, graphic design, internal templates, PowerPoint decks, website content to include casual headshots, email invitations, social media, and develop newsletter and other marketing content.
· May assist in a liaison capacity to work directly with agency consultants (PR, graphic design, copywriting, videography and website SEO).
· Organize and update folders within OneDrive for improved efficiency and accessibility.
· Reporting - prepare and distribute monthly marketing reports; compile quarterly audit reports.
· Schedule and facilitate bi-annual retrospective sessions with internal teams and external partners (agency, PR, and social media teams).
· Support fundraising events and capture videos, photos, live social posts.
· Create content and engagement for the Big Facebook Group to improve volunteer engagement and resource awareness.
· Create with development team donor stewardship materials (such as match stories and inspirational content).
· Collaborate and develop new tools to create efficient workflows for event and activity procedures.
· Update event calendars on website and post as needed.
· Assist with planning and coordinating staff relations events, workshops, retreats and activities.
· Flex schedule and work occasional weekends or nights for agency events, fundraising and program activities supporting the mission of the agency.
· Other duties as needed.
Education Level:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area. Equivalency reviewed.
Years of Related Work Experience:
One to two years of related (or equivalent) marketing experience. Work experience can be through internships or volunteer positions. Knowledge and experience with non-profit and children services programs a plus.
Skill Requirements:
· Savvy self-starter with the ability to take initiative and develop solutions quickly and effectively.
· Ability to utilize relevant programs to include Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other design software.
· Ability to build an effective social media strategy.
· Ability to use analytical tools to measure the performance of marketing efforts.
· Ability to write all correspondence and create marketing pieces using creative measures.
· Proficient in technical areas such as Microsoft Office: Sharepoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
· Excellent oral communication and written communication skills.
· Ability to acclimate to a positive and forward-thinking organizational culture and work well with others.
· Ability to use time effectively, work independently, focus on details, and routinely adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
· Projects a professional image and can gain the confidence of everyone inside and outside of the organization while executing the role.
· Discretion to handle confidential information.
Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, occasional lifting of 25 pounds, sitting at workstation and supporting community activities and events.
Travel: Ability to drive and travel to school sites and agency events. Current proof of insurance.
