Founded in 2012, we empower independent physicians with the tools and resources necessary to thrive in a changing healthcare landscape. We provide HR services for our own company and 2 other physician related companies (150+ employees total). The focus of the job is employee relations, performance management and HR compliance. The right person likes to build and has a "no job is too big or too small" attitude and approach to work. You will become a key member of our management team so this role is on-site wit periodic travel to the doctors' care centers across Long Island and Eastern Queens.
Base Salary $100K-$132K + Annual Performance Bonus
Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Senior HRBP to join our team in Great Neck. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by managing HR functions to support the corporate team and ensure that doctors have more time to focus on patient care instead of administrative work by building and managing superior support staff so doctors can focus more time on their patients. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. The right candidate is entrepreneurial, wants to build, is comfortable taking the lead and is highly organized to ensure compliance with HR laws, regulations, and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and ensuring HR policies are updated and circulated and understood by the employees
- Develop and implement employee relations programs to foster a positive work environment that embraces our mission and the performance-based compensation that has taken over the healthcare industry
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
- Primary on all counseling, disciplinary action and terminations
- Lead selection of HRIS and maintain accurate HRIS records to ensure data integrity and documentation for everything that touches HR
- Manage all HR compliance: training; benefits; FMLA, PFL and other leaves
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote employee development
- Serve as lead change agent on culture, post merger & acquisition for medical practices that join our managed medical group
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required; Masters & SHRM certification preferred
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist/HRBP, working as part of the management team to build a strong and loyal workforce.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including experience working with legal counsel as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High expectations for the workforce coupled with the ability to advocate when needed
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, and pivot as needed.
- Experience with employee training and development programs is preferred.
