Role Overview:
BEPC Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Advanced Software Engineer to support a cutting-edge next-generation avionics program for our client in the aerospace industry. This role is ideal for a highly skilled software engineer with deep Flight Management Systems (FMS) development expertise and a passion for developing innovative aerospace technologies.The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment alongside experienced software and systems engineers to design, develop, integrate, and validate highly complex avionics software solutions. This opportunity focuses on advanced Flight Management System functionality, software architecture, integration, testing, and certification support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality software architecture and applications for Flight Management Systems (FMS).
- Support integration activities for next-generation avionics product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define software requirements and technical specifications.
- Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
- Perform testing and integration activities on laboratory test benches and simulation environments.
- Support functional load deliveries and certification compliance activities.
- Stay current with aerospace software development trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of software development experience focused on Flight Management Systems (FMS).
- Strong C++ and object-oriented programming experience.
- Proven experience with software architecture and design development.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and software integration skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
