In this energized role, you will monitor premises through surveillance systems, perform thorough security checks, and manage access control with professionalism and confidence. Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry.
- Perform regular patrols around the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access while maintaining a visible security presence.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents by assessing situations calmly and taking appropriate action in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in performing background checks or screening procedures for visitors or new personnel as needed.
- Support emergency response efforts by providing first aid or CPR when necessary and operating AED devices safely.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and familiarity with loss prevention strategies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies.
- Strong understanding of security procedures including performing background checks and conducting thorough inspections.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical fitness to stand for long periods, walk extensively around the property, and perform manual tasks safely.
