CDL-A Local/Regional Employee Driver for Manufacturing Company
Weather Blanket Insulation, in business since 1977, is one of the most respected manufacturers of cellulose insulation in the United States and we’re growing! We are looking to hire additional employee drivers to deliver our insulation from our Spencer, WI facility to our loyal customers in the Great Lakes region. We’re hiring Class A drivers with at least 3 years of Class A CDL OTR tractor-trailer experience to haul 53’ dry vans. These are Midwest runs: WI, MN, Northern IL, Northeastern IA.
Our drivers are responsible for operating a Class A vehicle to transport full trailer loads of palletized product to customers. Our employee drivers play a critical role in building positive relationships with our customers by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries.
Compensation
· $27-29/hour depending on experience, paid bi-weekly

Schedule
· Home Daily
· No Weekends
· Most deliveries made between 6am-3pm

· Trucks are brand new full-service leased day cabs, including 24/7 Roadside Maintenance
· Newer Trailer Fleet- 53’ dry vans
· EZ Pass, if needed
· Freight is palletized
Qualifications
· 3+ years of Class A driving experience
· Current/valid CDLA and DOT medical card
· Must pass background, motor vehicle check, and DOT physical
· Clean Motor Vehicle Record and meets FMCSA requirements
· High school diploma or GED
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Basic math skills
· Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
· Must be willing to occasionally pallet jack our palletized product to tailgate for customer- no handling of products
· Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
· Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and vendors effectively.
· Must live within commuting distance to our Spencer, WI facility.
Core Job Responsibilities
· Ensure pre-loaded trailers are safe and load has been secured
· Manage documentation related to shipments, including delivery logs, route sheets, and inspection reports.
· Safely operate a Class A vehicle between Weather Blanket facility and customer destination, and any backhauls, if scheduled.
· Abide by safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc.
· Ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Most deliveries are made at distribution center warehouses, some at contractor warehouses. Some deliveries are drop and hooks.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.
· Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
· Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
· Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.
· Provide in-person support to the customer – addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery.
· Support warehouse operations by assisting in loading/unloading when required and ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
· You will be driving to many of the same locations and therefore act as a company “ambassador” with our loyal customer and vendor partners.
· Performs other duties as assigned
· Submit receipts for fuel, truck washes, roadside maintenance

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
