Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in telecommunications systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Data cabling, Fiber Optics, Security Cameras, Access Control and Electrical systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience to ensure the effective operation of communication systems. Candidates must have at least 2 years of industry experience
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair of Commercial telecommunications equipment and systems, including Data cabling, Telephony, IT, CCTV, and Access Control Systems
- Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage wiring and cabling.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform installations and repairs according to schematics and design specifications.
- Provide technical support for data networking and security systems ensuring seamless connectivity across various devices.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards such as NEC regulations to ensure compliance during installations.
- Document all service activities accurately for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in telecommunications or related fields.
- Strong understanding of IT networking principles.
- Background in construction is advantageous for installation tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics related to electrical systems and telecommunications setups.
- Knowledge of protocols and procedures is essential for effective system implementation.

Requirements: Own a vehicle, 6-8' ladder, Smartphone, Laptop computer, Butt Set, Pair tester, and Basic Telecom tools. Must be comfortable working on manlifts at heights up to 45'.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
