Northern Cafe is seeking a dynamic Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage all aspects of restaurant operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage a team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory control, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and lead to ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions on service excellence, menu knowledge, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or hospitality education
- Manager's Food Handler Card
- Proven experience in a management role within a full service dine in restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management practices.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes to ensure efficient operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
