In this role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Shipping, and Leadership to ensure our customers receive exceptional service while helping keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do
As a Customer Support Representative, you'll serve as the primary communication link between our customers and our manufacturing teams.
You'll coordinate schedules, monitor production progress, communicate order updates, and help ensure every customer receives outstanding service from order placement through final delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal departments
- Build strong, professional relationships with customers through timely and responsive communication
- Provide accurate order status updates and delivery information
- Respond to customer questions and coordinate solutions with internal teams
- Support customer documentation, reporting, and follow-up activities
Order & Production Coordination
- Monitor customer orders, production schedules, and delivery commitments
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping to support on-time delivery
- Help identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or production delays
- Communicate schedule changes and customer priorities to the appropriate departments
- Assist with production control activities that improve efficiency while maintaining quality standards
Scheduling & Planning
- Track materials and work orders throughout the manufacturing process
- Help ensure production has the materials, specifications, and documentation needed to stay on schedule
- Coordinate manufacturing workflow alongside production leadership
- Maintain accurate order, scheduling, and production information using ERP systems and spreadsheets
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met
- Help identify opportunities to improve communication, scheduling, and workflow
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while supporting both customers and internal teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving problems before they become issues.
Preferred Skills
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience working with Excel, ERP systems, and production scheduling software
- Ability to review customer requirements, schedules, and production information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
- Experience with Epicor ERP is highly preferred
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer support, production scheduling, production control, manufacturing coordination, or a related field
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel required
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered
Work Environment
This position combines office work with regular interaction throughout our manufacturing facility.
You'll collaborate daily with customers, engineers, production personnel, quality professionals, purchasing, shipping, and leadership to keep orders moving efficiently and customers informed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout office and manufacturing areas
- Ability to climb stairs as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to review printed and electronic schedules, reports, specifications, and customer documentation
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, carry, and work on a computer throughout the day
