Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic team. Someone who is a jack-of-all trades. Who is trainable, good leadership skills. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks that support residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your hands-on skills and technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Commercial and Residential roofing
- Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and effectively for framing, trim carpentry, installation, and finishing tasks.
- Assist with construction estimating by measuring materials and preparing job site layouts based on schematics.
- Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Install fixtures, doors, siding, flooring, tile, drywall (including plastering), stucco, and other building components according to specifications.
- Support specialized tasks such as rebar installation for concrete forms, metal stud framing, roofing, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and electrical or plumbing rough-ins.
- Follow safety protocols related to power tool safety, construction site safety standards, and proper handling of construction materials like wood construction materials and rebar.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a strong understanding of residential carpentry techniques.
- Commercial and Residential roofing experience.
- Ability to read schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, saws), power tools (drills, saws), and woodworking machines.
- Sheet metal experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical plans.
- Experience with various construction disciplines such as framing (metal stud or wood), drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, roofing, siding, fixture installation.
- Familiarity with safety procedures including power tool safety practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction site experience including remodeling projects or restoration industry experience is preferred.
Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
