Architect Needed for a Growing Design-Builder

TruEdge is searching for a dedicated and talented Architect to be responsible for project development, coordination, design development and construction document phases of our projects.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture required.
- Architectural License preferred. If not currently licensed, must be committed to obtaining licensure.
Experience:
Minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years experience and demonstrated technical proficiency in production and coordination of construction documents in all phases of architectural practice.
Role & Job Duties:
1. Collaborate with design leadership and the rest of the team to develop design projects from concept through completion. Tasks could include:
a. Developing design options through drawing, modeling, and rendering.
b. Exploring and developing design concepts to ensure code compliance, budget feasibility, etc.
c. Working with AORs and other consultants to ensure design intent is maintained.
d. Working with the build team to troubleshoot, solve problems, and ensure a smooth client experience during construction.
2. Serve as day-to-day project lead and client contact on new construction and major renovation projects.
3. Provide architectural technical guidance and expertise to the interior design team as needed to ensure code compliance and constructability. This would include helping to develop details for millwork, partitions, interior finish installation, etc.
4. Assist in providing QA/QC of construction drawings.
5. Produce construction drawings for small projects.
6. Travel as required.
Required Experience and Hard Skills:
1. 8-10 years of experience working in an architectural or design-build company on all phases of a project
2. Experience reviewing and red lining construction drawings, including ensuring coordination with consultant drawings.
3. Project management and design team leadership experience.
4. Knowledge of engineering disciplines that is sufficient to evaluate and coordinate consultant work.
5. Knowledge of building materials, systems, specifications, and construction techniques.
6. Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, zoning codes, and entitlement processes. Experience working with codes and jurisdictions to uncover and understand all jurisdictional and code requirements that will impact a project.
7. Preference will be given for having worked in a design-build project delivery system previously.
8. Preference will be given for experience in work place or brand focused retail design.
9. Must have experience with both interior build-out and ground-up core and shell design.
10. Software skills:
a. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with rendering programs such as Enscape, Vray, etc.
b. Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) .
c. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite or similar image editing and creation programs.
d. Experience with Procore or comparable software.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
