The Heavy Equipment Operator performs hands-on operation of heavy machinery on civil and industrial dirt-work projects. This role is ideal for operators who specialize in mass excavation, grading, trenching, and roadway construction and are comfortable working in demanding, high-production environments.
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and backhoes

Perform earthmoving, grading, trenching, and road construction tasks

Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks

Safely operate equipment in active work zones, near traffic, utilities, and other crews

Work closely with spotters and ground crews to maintain production and safety

Identify and report mechanical issues to minimize downtime

Maintain accurate equipment usage and maintenance records

Follow all site safety requirements and procedures
- 2+ years operating heavy equipment on civil, road, or dirt-work projects

Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site prep operations

Experience working around utilities, traffic control zones, and active job sites

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Strong situational awareness, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a production crew
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb in/out of equipment

Prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and control operation

Exposure to vibration, loud noise, dust, and uneven terrain
