Caliber Manufacturing, a machining company in De Pere, WI, has openings for CNC lathe programmers/machinists.
Job Summary
Caliber is looking for experienced machinists to join our team on the first shift, Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts, OR Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Program, set up and machine operation
- Produce parts to print holding tight tolerances
- Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specs using micrometers, and other measuring tools and devices
- Communicate with supervisors, engineer, quality control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
- Maintain cleanliness throughout work area
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical degree/certificate and 1-2 years of experience, OR 4-5 years of machining experience
- Require candidate with 2-3 years’ experience with either MAZAK or Fanuc programming
- Strong blueprint reading and an understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, machine tooling and fixturing, set-up, and preventative maintenance
- Detail oriented and consistent
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
- All personal protective equipment must be worn when necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes. etc.)
