Pharmacy Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
Measure, count, label, and package medications according to established procedures.
Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.
Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing when applicable.
Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
Provide courteous customer service while directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
