Position Overview:
Merchandising Senior Specialist is responsible for driving retail merchandising strategy and execution across stores, ensuring the right product assortment, allocation, and in-season management to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity. The role works closely with retail operations and marketing to deliver strong in-store performance and consumer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute store-level assortment strategies and seasonal merchandising plans aligned with U.S. market needs and brand direction.
- Own the retail buying and allocation process, including OTB planning, size curve management, and initial store distribution.
- Monitor sell-through, inventory levels, and product performance; take proactive in-season actions (replenishment, transfers, markdowns) to optimize results.
- Partner closely with Retail Operations and Visual Merchandising to ensure strong product presentation and in-store execution.
- Analyze store performance by location, category, and product to identify opportunities and drive localized merchandising strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns in stores.
- Conduct regular store visits to gather qualitative insights on product performance, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly retail performance reports, including sales, inventory, and key merchandising KPIs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or planning (sportswear/fashion preferred)
- Strong experience in OTB planning, allocation, and in-season trading
- Solid understanding of store operations and retail performance drivers
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with merchandising/planning systems is a plus
- Experience in multi-store retail environments preferred
