The Landscaping Technician maintains Jeffco Fibres' buildings, grounds, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and well-maintained operations across company locations in MA and CT. The position performs preventive and corrective maintenance, supports facility improvement projects, responds to work orders, and contributes to a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Facilities and Grounds Maintenance

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, grounds, and facility infrastructure.
- Complete general repairs involving carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, lighting, HVAC and other building systems.
- Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, snow removal, and related seasonal activities.
- Support custodial and housekeeping activities as needed to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
Work Order and Maintenance Management

Respond to and complete maintenance work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (Limble).
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and identified issues accurately and timely within Limble.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and grounds to identify maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
- Communicate maintenance needs, repair recommendations, and project status to management.
Shop Organization and Continuous Improvement

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop, storage areas, and workspaces.
- Support and participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Assist with facility improvement projects and equipment relocations as assigned.
Safety and Compliance

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, communication, and respect.
- Perform all work in a safe manner using appropriate tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Additional Responsibilities

Travel between Jeffco facilities as required.

Experience
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in facility, building, or general maintenance preferred.
- Experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs preferred.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of building maintenance practices, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and outdoor maintenance equipment.
- Understanding of maintenance-related safety practices and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.

Education:
