We are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure and end-user environment. This role is responsible for managing and assisting with the administration of Microsoft 365 services, supporting infrastructure and end-user service desk tickets, maintaining on-premises server environments through routine patching and updates, and ensuring the reliability of backup and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, ManageEngine solutions, Veeam Backup & Replication, and basic server administration practices. In addition, strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential for success in this role.

Key Qualifications:

Experience resolving and completing Service Desk tickets in a timely manner.

Knowledge of patch management and maintenance for on-premises Windows servers. (SCCM, Veeam, Wasabi).

Experience with hybrid Active Directory environments.

Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

Familiarity with ManageEngine products for systems management, monitoring, or help desk operations.

Experience managing and monitoring Veeam backups, restores, and backup health.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an IT team.

Experience with VMWare is desirable.
Job Responsibilities

Project work surrounding the infrastructure and service desk teams

Server monitoring for hardware in different remote locations

Server patching, backup, and backup replication for both physical and virtual hardware

Service desk and infrastructure end-user ticket support

Other duties assigned by direct manager

Business travel may or may not be required, less than 25% of the time

This role is active Monday to Friday during business hours. With occasional after-hours or weekend support as needed.
Requirements

BA or equivalent experience

Some knowledge or experience working in a service desk role.

Must be a sole US citizen without dual citizenship.

Must be able to successfully pass various background screening requirements including criminal history, education, credit, and drug screen as well as obtain any required program specific credentials and certifications.

Location: This will be a Hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) out of our Bedford, MA location.
The US base salary for this full-time position is $56K-$70K plus bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
