Your Role as Shift Leader You’ll be a key player on the management team, running smooth and successful shifts by guiding and supporting the crew. You’ll make sure every task gets done right and on time, deliver hands-on training, coaching, and motivation, uphold top quality standards, and create unforgettable customer experiences. When issues pop up, you’ll handle them quickly and professionally — all while helping drive the store’s success and setting the team up for the next shift.

What You Bring
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1 to 2 years of restaurant experience preferred
- 1 year of leadership experience required
- Strong focus on high-quality customer service
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
- Task-oriented
- Outgoing and energetic personality
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and personal accountability
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service with smiles and banter — it’s the Jersey Mike’s way!
- Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages following every recipe and “Mike’s Way” standard
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, operational standards, and company policies
- Open, close, prep, and clean the store when assigned, always following guidelines
- Supervise and support assigned staff — including training, and ongoing coaching
- Monitor food and supply inventories and communicate needs clearly
- Ensure smooth shift handoffs by communicating key status updates on equipment, food, and the facility
- Handle customer issues professionally, effectively, and on the spot
