Pipeline – Fuel Construction Laborer (Pipe Helper / Coatings Experience)

Position Overview
KEAR Civil Corporation is seeking an experienced Pipeline and Fuel Tank Farm Laborer with a background as a pipe helper and hands-on experience in fabrication and applying coatings in accordance with NACE/AMPP standards. This role is labor-intensive and supports pipeline and tank farm construction projects while maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with preparation, fabrication, and installation of threaded and welded carbon steel pipe
· Work in tight quarters, confined spaces, and at elevated heights
· Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings
· Support pipefitting tasks such as bolting up flanges for a tight seal
· Perform surface preparation and coating application per NACE/AMPP standards
· Safely operate hand and power tools
· Properly wear and work with a full-face respirator when required
· Adhere to OSHA and project-specific safety practices at all times
· Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
· Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including pipeline work
· Demonstrated experience as a pipe helper
· Experience assisting with pipe fabrication, fit-up, or prep work
· Hands-on experience applying protective coatings per NACE/AMPP standards
· Must pass:
o Pre-employment drug screen
o Federal background check
· Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights
· Knowledge of OSHA workplace safety requirements (CPR, confined space, fire watch, etc.)
· Strong attendance and punctuality record
Preferred Qualifications
· NACE/AMPP Coating Applicator Certification (Level 1 or higher)
· Prior fuel facility or tank farm construction experience
