<Job Summary>
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care, veterinary procedures, and clinical support, with a passion for delivering exceptional pet healthcare. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the comfort and safety of our animal patients while supporting the daily operations of the hospital.
<Responsibilities>
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering medications.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain accurate records of diagnostic results to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Provide pet care services such as grooming, feeding, and monitoring animal behavior to ensure well-being.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, scaling, and other dental treatments.
- Operate radiography equipment to capture high-quality X-ray images while adhering to aseptic technique standards.
- Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equines with confidence in animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Support pet owners by providing education on animal husbandry, pet grooming, and basic pet care instructions.
<Experience>
- Proven experience working as a veterinary assistant or technician in a busy clinical setting.
- Familiarity with kennel management, animal physiology, veterinary terminology, and critical care procedures.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of dog training, pet grooming, and animal behavior management is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary critical care practices.
- Previous experience handling diverse species including equine animals is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
