Duties
- Conduct dog training sessions to reinforce obedience, socialization, and behavioral goals using positive reinforcement techniques
- Handle dogs safely during training, grooming, feeding, and exercise routines, ensuring proper restraint and comfort
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by grooming pets, cleaning kennels, and managing pet supplies efficiently
- Provide exceptional pet sitting services, ensuring dogs are well-cared-for in their owner's absence while monitoring health and behavior
- Support pet owners with advice on training methods, pet care routines, and behavioral concerns to foster positive relationships
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport supplies or assist with kennel cleaning and setup
Skills
- Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of canine behavior modification techniques
- Skilled in dog handling and animal restraint to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices to maintain hygiene and appearance standards
- Experience in pet sitting or caring for animals in a professional setting
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina during busy workdays
