Compensation & Benefits
- Standard Hourly Rate: $40.00 – $50.00 / hour (Based on leadership and skill set)
- Overtime Hourly Rate: $60.00 – $75.00 / hour (Updated to reflect the standard 1.5x overtime rate)
- Expected Annual Earnings: $112,300 – $155,000
- Per Diem: Starts at $90.00 per work day (Eligible for rapid increases based on performance)

Job Schedule & Environment
- Hours: 45 to 60 hours per week (Hours vary daily).
- Shifts: Up to 12-hour workdays.
- Setting: Leading outdoor operations in all weather elements (rain, wind, snow, heat, and sun). Requires working comfortably at extreme heights or underground.
Primary Responsibilities
This is a working-foreman role requiring hands-on leadership in a high-intensity, physically demanding environment. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
- Crew Leadership: Directing, scheduling, and managing a crew of 3–5 rock scalers and specialty technicians.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols in high-risk zones, around heavy machinery, and during rope/high-angle operations.
- Operational Oversight: Managing onsite tasks including building/installing rock bolts, mixing grout, shooting shotcrete, and executing blasting operations utilizing C4 explosives.
- Equipment Management: Supervising and operating heavy machinery and specialized stabilization equipment.
- Training & Mentorship: Training and coaching eager new hires to promote mutual success and crew cohesion.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: Proven background as a construction foreman, crew lead, or field supervisor.
- Experience: A solid, verifiable background in heavy construction or rock stabilization is required.
- Reliability: A proven history of dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and clean employment history.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle heavy labor and high-intensity tasks daily alongside the crew.
- Gear: Foremen are responsible for providing their own certified climbing harness and personal gear.
Preferred Skills (Move to the front of the list):
- Previous professional rope work or high-angle climbing experience.
- Shotcrete application experience.
- 3-5 years of drilling experience.
- 3-5 years operating a Top Hammer or Down-the-Hole (DTH) drill.
- Soil nail construction, wall building, and concrete work.
- 3-5 years operating heavy equipment (Excavators, telehandlers, loaders).
- Railroad construction experience involving Hi-Rail equipment.
