Assistant Manager — New Coffee Stand Opening Team
Location: Rathdrum, ID — location opening Fall 2026 (Tentative October opening, with interviews being scheduled for mid August)
Job Type: Full-time Pay: DOE + tips (minimum avg $22/hr and usually exceeds this)
A growing local coffee company is opening a brand-new drive-thru stand in Rathdrum this fall — and we're hiring the leaders who'll launch it. As Assistant Manager, you'll help build the crew, set the pace, and own the close from the very first car.
This is a true ground-floor seat: you're not stepping into someone else's system, you're helping build ours. You'll report directly to the owner and help set the tone for a brand-new stand.
What You'll Do
- Help open a brand-new drive-thru from day one
- Run shifts and own the close as the leader on the floor
- Help hire, train, and set morale for the founding team
- Lead the bar: set positions, hold company's quality and speed on every car
- Own cash handling, reconciliation, and daily accuracy
- Keep both windows fast — live customers before delivery orders; coordinate positions for efficient flow
- Be the steady hand that keeps the stand running
- Work alongside upper management to create schedules, content, promos, etc.
- Maintain a positive environment to cultivate a space of teamwork. kindness and growth for your crew.
What We're Looking For
- Barista or fast-paced food-service experience — drive-thru speed a big plus
- A builder who's comfortable with the energy (and chaos) of a brand-new opening
- A real leader who coaches and holds the standard; puts their team first.
- Trustworthy with cash, reliable, and available for opens, closes, and weekends
- Able and willing to cover shifts when necessary
- Fired up and confident to help launch something from scratch
- Someone who's comfortable being a part of social media content to promote the brand
