Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Office Administrator / Closing Support Staff member to join our dynamic team. This energetic role is perfect for someone who enjoys multitasking, delivering excellent customer service, supporting children and teachers, and maintaining an organized school environment. The ideal candidate will support daily administrative functions, manage front desk operations, assist classrooms as needed, drive the school bus for field trips, and help ensure smooth school operations through closing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and manage front desk duties with professionalism and warmth
- Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, providing clear and courteous communication
- Handle data entry, filing, record keeping, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy and organization
- Assist with office management tasks including supply inventory, mail distribution, and record keeping
- Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously
- Support classrooms as needed to maintain ratios and assist teachers throughout the day
- Float between classrooms and provide coverage during breaks, meetings, and staff absences
- Safely drive the school bus or school vehicle for field trips and school-related transportation
- Assist with student arrival, dismissal, and daily transitions
- Complete end-of-day closing duties and help ensure the school is organized, secure, and prepared for the next day
Qualifications
- Proven office experience with strong clerical skills and computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills, including experience with multi-line phone systems
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced school environment
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse community needs
- Previous roles such as receptionist, personal assistant, administrative assistant, childcare professional, or school support staff are highly valued
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
